My 70 challenger had a dealer installed under dash a/c . does anyone have a picture or know what style was usually installed by the dealer?

The following images show a Chrysler Model E add-on air conditioning unit. Model E was for 1970 cars with the six cylinder engine:

Eight cylinder versions were similar with differing connection hardware. The underhood portion was essentially a production set up for the compressor, etc. with variations for the hose hookup and add-on parts for the pulleys. The following diagram shows the underhood installation:

I had a 1970 barracuda with dealer-installed AC.

the unit I pulled from the car during restoration (it was discarded) looks different than the one pictured in post #2.

it was maybe two feet wide, and spanned the passenger-side of the under dash over to the radio.
