RE: 1970 Barracuda auto on column.
Is all that is needed to make the change over is the Tube Housing?
Or is there something else I would need regarding the steering column.
Thanks!

I did the same thing on my 71 challenger. I replaced the entire column. Contact Tony's parts or Stephens performance, both of them have a large selection of used parts. If you find a replacement make sure it is for a auto, not a manual trans column.

Or put a wanted ad on this site and pay a fair price.

Send a note to Cody, he just posted a couple of videos today on steering columns and I am sure he can tell you the differences.

Talk to Tony at Tony's parts. He has an ad to the right of the page. He has new parts to make your column into a floor shift column.

Just to let you know that later Dodge trucks (late 70s and maybe early 80's) with floor shift have the same collars as the cudas. The ignition lock is different on the inside but looks the same on the outside.

Thanks for that info.

I did watch Cody's videos, very helpful and taught me a lot!

This is good info. I had never heard this before

I used the truck collars to convert my 71 Barracuda column. I know there is at least one truck in the junk yard in Amarillo that has a floor shift column that would work. Rod
