story goes this motor was tore down in 1980 on a 60k mile car and the. Never messed with. Missing one piston but other than that, mostly there. Supposed to be virgin block and steel crank never turned. Obviously has to be rebuilt. 915 J heads, regular not offset. Look at pics. Vin is 1b317802. Not sure what model this came out of. In Virginia right of highway 81. $1500 for everything. Pick up only so don’t ask. 540-797-8748/Text

It's a shame people pull things apart and allow them to get rusted it will probably require extra machining to clean up the rust off the crank journals and block bores.

She ain’t too bad! Stores inside since 1980, guy was a drag racer. Second owner said the original guy pulled it from a 70 challenger. I told him it was probably a 71 but he is supposed to contact original owner and check for me just for shitz and giggles. More pics.

That intake is way later than 1971, hence the EGR and water neck rotation.

Thanks Hemi! He had it sitting apart from the motor and threw it into the deal so I don’t believe it did come with the motor, but hopefully someone can use it. On Craig’s now so will probably sell soon

Yeah ,the intake is Definitely Not a 70.
The AVS was discontinued in 1970,and the Thermo quad started in 1971.

Should be a Date stamp on it just behind the Thermostat housing area.
Casting number should help too.
