Windshield Wiper Arm Removal

I am restoring a 1971 Challenger and hav teh car just about totally apart. I need to remove the windhsield wiper arms. I have the glass out. Can anybody tell me how to get them off?

If they're the same as my '70, then there should be a tab that releases them, but will still be hard to get off. IIRC there is a special tool to lift them safely off the gear.

I have a 71 cuda so I am not sure they are the same but, and mine just came off with a gentle pry near the outer edge of the arm. There is a ridge on the wiper arm drive shaft so don't pry near the center of it. Be gentle.

Easy to pry off. Getting them back on will make you cry!
