The pedal itself is for 71-74, (70 E bodies have a unique model with vertical lines). The bracket is definitively not for an E body, as E bodies have a 2 stud only that mounts to the firewall. C body maybe?

Hi everyone... I need this part. I think this is a gas vent that goes in the trunk of my 71 Challenger. It is screwed on the passenger floor extention. Underneath, it has 5 small pipes, 4 of them goes to the gas tank. 71 Cudas have the same part. I know 1970 models don't have these, not shure...

Since they are both small blocks, it should fit right there. Two years ago, I installes A/C in my Li'l red truck with a 360, and the compressor came from a Dodge truck with a 318 and I had no trouble at all, so, I figure you should be just fine going from 318 to 340. Robert

I think I would start by looking at the outside bulbs, (front & rear), on the right side. I think a bulb improperly installed, (like half a turn wrong), can create a problem like this, but I'm not shure. Can' t hurt to check... Once you have the bulb in your hand, gently tap it with a finger...
