mine is a1971 383 car it did not come with a fuel separator the 440 and 426 cars did so i bought a 440 fuel line set up that cured the vapor lock and i put a filter between the separator and the carb
i would replace it who knows what junk and rust is in it .sometimes after running the carb float valve will leak a little allowing fuel to over flow the carb flooding the engine that separator bleads the pressure out of the fuel line so that won;t happen
to get max caster the upper ball joint needs to be as far back toward the fire wall as you can get it and still have good camber.. it;s best to.lift the wheels off the ground suspension hanging when adjusting the cam bolts
it has hydraulic lifters they pump up from the oil pressure when the engine is running .. when the valves are fully closed you can wiggle them a little that is normal if it doesn;t clack when running you are good to go
don;t touch the torsion bars . you can jack up the car so the wheels are hanging to adjust the cam bolts there is less stress on the parts that way then tighten bolts and lower onto the turntables if you don;t have turntables or caster gages take it to an aligement shop you will never get it right
how we did it put in pickup tube so you know it will hit the bottom of the pan a little put the pan on to push the pickup remove pan move it 1/4 inch away from were it hits the pan and weld it so the pickup doesn;t move
there is a lot of adjustmet in these fenders the body tolerances were not very good back then i remember a car commercial that bragged the body tolerances were half the thickness of a human hand that would not fly by todays standers
i had that problem too the bumper ends are supposed to kick up that will bring the center down and out i had to remove and bend the ends of the bumper brackets because the brackets got hit at one time
