Studs in the four bottom corners and 8 each 1/4-20 x .50" bolts in the other locations. Six fasteners total per cover

I'm not entirely sure what you have as an anker bolt. Maybe post an image, and we can help you figure where they go.

The fasteners shown in post #3 are the ones you want for the valve cover.

This has nothing to do with the original question but a bolt without a nut is a screw, the book is fundamentally wrong…

383/400/413/426w/440 from 64 to 78. 59-63 the big block heads had only 4 bolts and no studs.

@DetMatt1 you are technically correct. What we call head bolts are actually screws, but it just doesn't sound right calling them head screws after folks calling the head bolts for over 125 years! 🙂

A bolt fastens into a threaded opening, and a screw fastens to unthreaded materials.
That is incorrect. A screw fastens into a threaded hole while a bolt requires a nut.
Or it would be accurate to say that every threaded fastener on your car that doesn’t have a nut on it is a screw.

these are the bolts or screws i found in the valve cover of a cuda with a 383 . if they aren;t for the valve cover anyone know where they came from thanks

They look like the 8 valve cover bolts (screws) in the middle of the valve covers. Also the oil pan bolts are the same size and most have the same anchor symbol on them!
