I ordered a 572 block from Indy Cylinder Head and they couldn't get one from the factory because production had been stopped. I had to pay extra for them to get one from another dealer.
I have sandblasted, primed it and removed the drum brakes and backing plates. Does anybody have a recommendation on what disc brake set-up to use? I have the rear sway bar and have read some of the brake set ups interfere with the sway bar mounts.
I ordered a new Gen II 572 block a couple of weeks ago and was told today that production has been stopped by Chrysler and there are none in stock. Has anybody else heard this?
I removed the home made perches that somebody welded on to use in a Chevy and welded new ones back on at the B-Body dimensions and am moving the springs in.
Got the new spring perches tacked. Next is sandblast and paint. Going to put it in the car and check for proper pinion angle before welding the perches out. Got to get the engine built and installed first though.
Great thanks for the info. I picked it up and now have it home. It is three inches narrower that the 8-3/4 that is in there now and should work fine. I currently have 3-1/2" of clearance from the tire to the inner fender well on each side so losing an 1-1/2" on each side should allow me to run...
Does any body have any experience putting a 68-70 B-Body Dana rear end into a Cuda? It looks like the only thing that would need to be done would be to move the spring mounts out one inch on each side but I'm not sure about wheel well clearance. Thanks in advance.
Here are a few pictures of my 72 Cuda project. I bought it 30 years ago as a six cylinder automatic and began tearing it down as soon as I got it home. I stripped it down completely and converted it to a 440 4-speed and began doing the body work. I soon discovered I don't like doing body work so...
Ok thanks. I'm having trouble finding a hemi k-member. I have thought about modifying a slant six one I have but haven't found any drawings or specifications to be able to accurately locate the mounts. I've looked at the adapter mounts for the V-8 k-member but worry they may raise the height of...
Has anybody out there put a 572 hemi in a Cuda with the rally hood? The guys at Mancini racing say I can use the standard V-8 K-member with the hemi adapter mounting brackets but may have a hood clearance issue since the 572's tend to have a taller intake. Thanks in advance.
