Does any body have any experience putting a 68-70 B-Body Dana rear end into a Cuda? It looks like the only thing that would need to be done would be to move the spring mounts out one inch on each side but I'm not sure about wheel well clearance. Thanks in advance.

That is a common swap , allows a larger tire fitment If you leave the spring mounts alone & use the offset hangers from Doctor Diff to move the spings inboard

It is a good way to go if you want to run any tires large then stock.

Great thanks for the info. I picked it up and now have it home. It is three inches narrower that the 8-3/4 that is in there now and should work fine. I currently have 3-1/2" of clearance from the tire to the inner fender well on each side so losing an 1-1/2" on each side should allow me to run wider tires.

with the correct backspacing you should be able to use a lot of the 3.5" clearance for tires

Got the new spring perches tacked. Next is sandblast and paint. Going to put it in the car and check for proper pinion angle before welding the perches out. Got to get the engine built and installed first though. 1502276_574804675931643_1344441178_o.jpg

Oil drainplug indicates that rear to be 66-67, very few 68s came with that plug.

Personally I would have left the perches alone & moved the springs inward to take advantage of the full wheel well

I removed the home made perches that somebody welded on to use in a Chevy and welded new ones back on at the B-Body dimensions and am moving the springs in.

I have sandblasted, primed it and removed the drum brakes and backing plates. Does anybody have a recommendation on what disc brake set-up to use? I have the rear sway bar and have read some of the brake set ups interfere with the sway bar mounts.

I would ask each of the venders if their brakes work with the sway bar. I have used several good set ups. It will just take some shopping.

I'm using the Hotchkis rear sway bar and DrDiffs disc brake kit on the B-Body width Dana in the Challenger. Everything fits great.
