360 engine oil leak on startup!

That fixed it. The stud that goes in to the engine block was just barely tight. Took things apart, mine only has the big outer gasket. Cleaned things up and put things back together. No leaks. Thanks for the advice.

360 engine oil leak on startup!

Let it sit for a couple of days up on Jack’s. Fired it up and immediately started seeing oil coming from that adapter plate. Definitely where it’s coming from. Suggestions on where to get the gaskets to fix that?

360 engine oil leak on startup!

Thanks, so with the filter off does the oil filter adapter screw off to get to the gasket under it? Is there a special tool required or is it obvious how it comes off to get to the gasket?

360 engine oil leak on startup!

Torque for tie rod ends castle nuts?

1974 Challenger 360. Just put new tie rod assemblies on both sides. In the past I’ve always just went “tight” on the castle nuts but wondering if there is a torque value or torque procedure to be correct? Moog tie rod ends.

    Recommendations for new dash pads?

Are you still happy with them? I am in the market and looking at the different options. Was the fit good? I like the price for a steel core pad.

Thanks. Seems like it, it’s a two tag car so it’s pretty well optioned except AC

Ammeter out of the car, need to start the car

hi, quick question that probably has a simple answer. On my 1974 Challenger, I took the gage cluster out completely to repair some gages. I need to start and drive the car a short distance for some other work to be done. The car is dead with the ammeter disconnected. So here’s my question, can I...
