wheel center bore to hub clearance?

That is, until the industry figured out that the hub played a vital role in supporting the weight of the car. One of the reasons it's so vital to make sure the lugs are properly torqued on Magnum 500's as there's no hub support. Now, every car is engineered to be hubcentric and has been for...

    Sure Grip Gear Ratio

I've had several AHB M-bodies with 2.76's and I can tell you, those cars screamed for 3.23's at the very least. Even with highway driving (my cars have been known to cruise all up and down the East Coast). While the RPM's may drop with the longer legs you're actually cheating yourself in the...

upgrade valve covers and air filter

You don't necessarily need the breather hose. As a matter of fact, it looks like the breather you ordered is an "open" style breather, which means it'll have a row of holes on the bottom of it and filled with a filter element that will allow fumes to "breath" out of the engine.

New Rear 11" Drums - Don't Fit - Need Advice

That's what I was thinking. There's a groove for the backing plate. It shouldn't be anywhere near the machine surface for the shoes.

New Rear 11" Drums - Don't Fit - Need Advice

Are these factory backing plates? At that point you'd be getting damned close to maximum turn diameter to have the drums turned to fit. Take 'em back to where you bought 'em from and have them get you another set. If they don't match then it's a bad run of parts and need to be defected out.

Anyway you can post pics? What part of the drum is hitting the backing plates?

    Paint my car

If you're looking for a good powder coater take a look here. PhoenixSpecialtyCoatings.com - Home Leanna is a friend of mine and she's does some of the best work in the industry. As far as painting... Unfortunately, at the moment, I don't have a garage to work out of and I'm a little out of...

    Convertible top

You're welcome, Matt. Like I said, it's been a while since I've done one and I had to stop and think about it for a moment. If I had it in front of me, it would be one of those things where the mind shuts off and the body goes to work.

    Convertible top

Matt, you know if we lived closer I'd be right there. There are a few tricks to the trade that are easy enough. The first rule to follow, is where the top glues down, don't use spray tack (along the header and where it tucks under the weatherstripping for the glass). Get to an automotive...
