The mounting holes are further set outside on the 73-74. Yours, which are correct for your car, are set in further towards the middle/stem. Check Classic out to see images on 73-74. Thanks anyway though!

That would be interesting, thanks. According to everyone, mine is a 73-74 style. But as someone else pointed out, these cars are ancient and been touched in oh so many ways over the years.

Very true. I decided to buy a repop one, mainly just for the base. Yes, getting the mirror out is a PITA. Just did it on this one. But I figured removing the chrome, sanding, etc., even a bigger pain than a repop. Thanks again.

You don't happen to know if removing chrome to paint over is a chore or not, do you? I actually found one!

Hopefully you got what I'm saying about the pn's? The chrome set on ebay which definitely have the screws inward set,has exactly the same part number as mine. Just wanted to point out I'm not trying to be obtuse. But again, maybe the base was switched out for some dumb reason. It's too bad...

The p/n in the housing is 3548726 14-25-64. Brief findings on the internet show this to be for a 70 Ebody. Strangely though, one source shows 3548727 would be the RH or passenger side, but I think that might be for a chrome one? This definitely came off the pass side! I disassembled it and...
