Well after a couple of years trying to order a grille for my 71 challenger from classic industries I'm happy to announce that I took possession of their first prototype for test fitting on my car. while the shape is there, I haven't had a moment to mount it up and check it out. I will say this, it is nowhere near the weight nor thickness of the 2 used ones I had already purchased. Both had issues, small broken pieces. One that looked to be about as good as could be expected until the guy I bought it from decided to spend all day building a wooden box to ship it and mounted it to the box and broke off the 2 mount tabs on the back. Needless to say after spending 1500 on it I couldn't have been more upset. While this new one I have is no where near the quality of plastic. I'm hoping that it looks great! I will keep you posted!

Can't wait to see it. Show us some pictures of the grill before and after installation.

I'm thinking seriously about getting a repro grill for my 70 Cuda and I wonder if they repros are thinner than the originals?

i'll upload some pic of the grille how i got tomorrow, in the middle of welding floors and rockers on a 58 impala should be done with that in a couple weeks and i can install and document the fit etc. i haven't touched the used ones i purchased a couple years ago with the help of a bunch of e-body members but the oem from memory seemed thicker and made from a thicker plastic. but for $1200.00 for a brand new one compared to the ragged broken crap some guys are trying to sell like its gold is a deal. if i recall some guy in denver was trying to get like 8500.00 for nos.

Following along.
Hopefully this will be a good grill.
Well here are a few pics of how I got it I’ll upload some how it fits when I carve out a morning 🫤
