Thanks guys. So here are the photos of that area. Looks like the block has been "plugged" properly and the two bolt gaskets are in the correct spot. Final question, do you use any sealant or soak the cork gasket with something like WD40 in a similar fashion as carb gaskets, or does the cork...
Got the gasket set from Mancini for the 90 degree oil filter adapter. It has the cork gasket which I assume goes on the bolt between the block and adapter. And the thin one goes between the attachment bolt and adapter. Seems strange to have that cork gasket inside there. I now discovered that a...

A good friend gifted me an almost brand new set of Molnar H Beam connecting rods for my 340. I noticed it does not have an oiling hole out the side that would align with the hole in the rod bearing. Something I'm missing?

That was an unknown plus after leaving California for Idaho. Ethanol free 91 octane gas is readily available here. And in reality, I'll probably be closer to 10:1 after running the numbers.
Boring my 340 block .30 over. I have a stock forged crank (being turned .10), forged stock connecting rods, full floating wrist pins, and Edelbrock RPM Performer aluminum heads. I'm going with a roller cam & lifters, and roller rockers this time. I will not be racing this car and do not plan to...
