Re: the above picture. The middle two are are Barracuda/Cuda only, not "ebody". Green is 1970, blue is 1971. Left chrome one is Challenger only. Here's some more pics from my CPU. Later on the right chrome ended up being for both.
Yup, you posted your picture before I finished editing mine with the link added. (lol). I have an extra one of those too but shipping from Canada would be more $.
I think he's looking for a Barracuda one, that one is a Challenger. They're usually sold with a trunk lid so don't often come up for sale separately.
This one isn't marked as sold yet.

Here it is, sorry about the pink wire in the way. Not sure if convertible and hardtop are in the same exact location. I can't imagine that being any different though,
Why not rebuild your own. I used Mike Ross's method to rebuild an old Spartan horn.

FWIW, this was originally by Jim at JSRestorations
EDIT: I removed the original picture because AFAIK his years were incorrect. He had the first two as "70 - 72" & the last two as "73 - 74". Here's my amended picture.
Just another sort of relevant picture showing that the holes need to be a different diameter . ColoradoCuda, can you please verify the diameter on your car and let us know.
Yes there’s a difference. 1971 grommet hole is above the gas pedal studs. I’ll post pics when on my desktop tomorrow. The hole diameter is also different. IIRC, 70 was 3/4 and 71 was 1”. Stay tuned, I just posted this info on Moparts a couple weeks ago.
My original 1970 Barracuda looked like the OP's. I was under the impression that 1970 Challengers (ribbed bezels) were the only unique ones with 2 different variations. No rhyme or reason what car got what.
You’re generous, I offer 4% because the fee on my sales have always been just below that. I don’t know if that’s recently become a victim of inflation too though.
I’d consider F & F if it’s a long time member, can be checked out with references, and I see a history of successful sales. You really have to be careful, a recent member is a red flag. Do postal/bank money orders offer protection? I haven’t used one in decades.
Sorry to hear of your bad...
There's a 3 page discussion on crimpers in the attached link. It also has links within it to other topics but the one I posted is the main one. I too would like the here opinions here, may eventually swap some connectors to Anderson Powerpoles...
I know you know where the retaining tab is on the spade connectors but this may help others reading this thread. Glad to see that your "Wanted" post worked and terrywalker came through for you.
Couple things.
1. Figure out why that terminal overheated to the point of melting the connector so it doesn’t happen again.
2. Start a wanted thread in the Parts Wanted” section.
Good question. Standard dashes typically came with the 2 speed wiper setup. I have a document that says variable speed (‘70 & ‘71) is option J25, and standard equipment w/shaker, rallye cluster, 440/6 & Hemi. I also heard of people doing the wiper swap themselves and keeping the standard dash...
FWIW, I converted my original standard dash w/2 speed wipers to a rallye dash w/variable wipers. No modifications had to be done to any of the switch panel connectors.
