    Grill, bumpers, and valance installation?

For my 73 Barracuda, I did what Challenger RTA said for the front. For the rear I agree with pschlosser, rear bumper, bumper guards then rear valance. I know that if my valance is on, with the dual exhaust, I cannot access the rear bumper bolts easily and when adjusting the rear bumper, you will...

Dowel pin on Steering coupler size

I also bought the kit to rebuild the steering coupler and found that the only parts that were worth using was the rubber boot and the metal top cover, my original was too bent and unusable. The shoe's were smaller and had to much slop and the new shoe pin was also smaller. I did purchase and...

Dowel pin on Steering coupler size

If you don't have access to a press you can use a vice to force it through most of the way. You may want to heat it up also, that may aid in the removal process. Put a metal/steel block with a through hole one one side and let the vise press on the other side of the pin. If/when the pin moves...

Dowel pin on Steering coupler size

I believe that pin is pressed in and may require heat to help remove it.

    1972 Parking Brake Return Spring

I had the same problem with my emergency brake pedal after I refurbished the assembly. If what Chryco Psycho said to do doesn't fix your problem, then a small spring may have broken or become disconnected inside the pedal assembly. Sorry I don't have my pictures to post, they are on a thumb...

    Correct stat?

I know I don't maintain a thermostat. The moto of don't fix it if it aint broke isn't for everything but if the thermostat in question is working and he is not over heating, then...

Dowel pin on Steering coupler size

I use one of those and its a piece of mind. It goes on and off easily if repairs are needed.

Dowel pin on Steering coupler size

I think it was there for when to steering column would be removed for service/repair and if the retaining cap was loose or just pulling off of the steering box. If the coupler is a tight fit to the steering box shaft, somethings going to give, my guess would be the retaining cap and the rest of...

    Seat Latch Wear

My thought is that they are sticking from years of dirt etc and not being used. They may need to be cleaned and greased. If the latches are not catching, when you hit the breaks the seat back could come forward and possibly push you forward, probably right when you don't want that to happen.

Dowel pin on Steering coupler size

It's to keep the internals from coming out of the coupler body.

Firewall insulation, where do these pieces go?

If I remember correctly when I installed mine, the larger ones are glued to the backside of the kick panels and the smaller ones tuck into the upper door hinge bolt locations. I think the black side gets the glue/adhesive because its more solid than the yellow, fiber insulation side.
