I am using my original evaporator core with new components under the hood with no problems. My heater box/evaporator sat in my attic for 27 years and I had no problems.
To you question about testing it, I used an vacuum pump. I connected a line from my vacuum pump with a vacuum gauge and two...
Here in MA, and probably other states as well, I changed my plate to a "year of manufacture" plate. There is a form that needs to be filled out by you and another from your insurance agent. I bought a plate from 1973 on E-bay and brought the plate and all of the paperwork to the RMV. No change...
After changing gaskets 3X and machining my deep aluminum pans gasket flange with a CNC, I found two leaks. One was at the pivot shaft, which took a month to show up and the kick down band adjustment adjuster and locking nut.
This is what I used for my battery. I bought a battery from Walmart and used this to make my battery look like an original and less money than the cap. Click on the link. not sure why it says "pardon our interruption"
Pardon Our Interruption...
I used the butyl tape for my back window and windshield. I took Challenger RTA's advice and used the urethane to seal the backside of the butyl tape, just for good measure. I have had no leaks on either window and I had never installed a back window or windshield before.
I found that unless...
Hello Kansan, Are you talking about the diverter/mixing valve mounted on the passenger side inner fender? There are two different types. One is all metal and the other is bakelite (spelling?) I have the bakelite type. My control cable comes out of the firewall below the brake booster and up...
My 73 automatic floor shift Barracuda can shift out of park and into any gear without the key in the ignition also. There is no and was no interlock (linkage) on my car. Maybe if it was a column shift there may have been an interlock when the key was not in the ignition.
In order to use the fuel return your car should have the fuel vapor separator, before the fuel pump. From there you would have the return line which would feed back to your sending unit. You must be missing the return line as well?
I switched from the Mopar electronic ignition to the Summit brand, ready to run distributor. It fit under my 6 brrl air cleaner and has vacuum advance if needed. Knock on wood, I have not had any problems.
Using the RTR distributor allowed me to clean up the firewall a bit and less wires.
Nice work. The car looks great. The sad part about finishing the car is that you have gotten into a habit of working on the car nights and weekends and now you don't have to work on it anymore, at least to the same level that you were working on it. It leaves an empty space in your time, in a...
Did you buy your exhaust yet? If you haven't you may be able to buy that when you order your exhaust. When I bought my exhaust from TTI, I ordered everything that I needed from them. My car was a single exhaust car too.
If you could, pull the new items out of the carrier and lay them next to the old parts and compare. I would think the difference would be able to be seen. If not I would contact Mancini Racing with your question. They should be able to answer you.
My original time delay relay wasn't working so I took it apart. It is just a contact that is closed when hot, and opens when it cools down, approximately 20-30 seconds. The contacts get dirty. I used 220 sandpaper and just dragged it across the contacts to clean them. Works like a champ once again.
