Fuel return line routing from the sender

I have a 70 Cuda 440. On my fuel sender coming out of the tank is a place for a fuel return. The mechanical fuel pump does not have a return on it so where do I route this coming from the fuel sender or do I just block it off which is what I have done already.

In order to use the fuel return your car should have the fuel vapor separator, before the fuel pump. From there you would have the return line which would feed back to your sending unit. You must be missing the return line as well?

I had the same issue and my barracuda was vapor locking when it got hot. I replaced the inline fuel filter between the mechanical fuel pump and carb with one that has two exit nipples. One nipple for fuel line to the carb and one for a return line back to the fuel tank. I ran a return line back to the sending unit and it solved my vapor lock issue. Initially I had the sending unit return line nipple capped off and would have left it that way if not for the vapor lock issues.
