How do I find how many 73 Barracudas were made in a certain color?

Hello fellow E-body friends. I am wondering if anyone knows how to find how many 1973 Barracuda's were painted with HB1 paint code? My car is an HB1 paint code and I have never seen one in this color online or in person. Just curious more than anything. Thank you.

    74 Challenger Door Window Glass

The post from Challenger RTA about Glass adjustment is what you should follow when installing the door glass. Its from the factory service manual (FSM) and is what I used to get my windows in line. If you don't have a FSM you should get one. They are full of information that you will need to put...

    Seat Padding

I am in the same boat, not sure about my front seat padding. I assume that the padding will need to be replaced but not sure if anyone makes the padding for my 73 Barracuda. I'm interested in what others have to say.

    Console Fit Problem

My center console had a slight bow there also. I removed the console and then used a heat gun to make the plastic pliable and pushed back into position. No more bow. I agree with ItsJustMe that you have what looks like a crack, so you need to fix two things there. JB weld makes a really...

    Distributor issues?

I use a ready to run distributor from Summit. That way I don't have to worry about the ECU or ballast resistor etc. It was just my preference.

    AC evaporator core replacement

I am using my original evaporator core with new components under the hood with no problems. My heater box/evaporator sat in my attic for 27 years and I had no problems. To you question about testing it, I used an vacuum pump. I connected a line from my vacuum pump with a vacuum gauge and two...

Classic car not exempt in California

Here in MA, and probably other states as well, I changed my plate to a "year of manufacture" plate. There is a form that needs to be filled out by you and another from your insurance agent. I bought a plate from 1973 on E-bay and brought the plate and all of the paperwork to the RMV. No change...

    Transmission leak on 727

After changing gaskets 3X and machining my deep aluminum pans gasket flange with a CNC, I found two leaks. One was at the pivot shaft, which took a month to show up and the kick down band adjustment adjuster and locking nut.

Ok what the F just happened! Blew the battery caps off!

This is what I used for my battery. I bought a battery from Walmart and used this to make my battery look like an original and less money than the cap. Click on the link. not sure why it says "pardon our interruption" Pardon Our Interruption...

    Rear Window Installation

I used the butyl tape for my back window and windshield. I took Challenger RTA's advice and used the urethane to seal the backside of the butyl tape, just for good measure. I have had no leaks on either window and I had never installed a back window or windshield before. I found that unless...

    Heater Core Valve Pic Request

Hello Kansan, Are you talking about the diverter/mixing valve mounted on the passenger side inner fender? There are two different types. One is all metal and the other is bakelite (spelling?) I have the bakelite type. My control cable comes out of the firewall below the brake booster and up...

Fuel return line routing from the sender

Sorry, you are correct, I was going from memory on the placement of mine. My fuel separator is in the same spot as yours.

    Shift without key - Solved

My 73 automatic floor shift Barracuda can shift out of park and into any gear without the key in the ignition also. There is no and was no interlock (linkage) on my car. Maybe if it was a column shift there may have been an interlock when the key was not in the ignition.

Fuel return line routing from the sender

In order to use the fuel return your car should have the fuel vapor separator, before the fuel pump. From there you would have the return line which would feed back to your sending unit. You must be missing the return line as well?

    Fuel Pressure Measuring?

I switched from the Mopar electronic ignition to the Summit brand, ready to run distributor. It fit under my 6 brrl air cleaner and has vacuum advance if needed. Knock on wood, I have not had any problems. Using the RTR distributor allowed me to clean up the firewall a bit and less wires.

    Finally finished

Nice work. The car looks great. The sad part about finishing the car is that you have gotten into a habit of working on the car nights and weekends and now you don't have to work on it anymore, at least to the same level that you were working on it. It leaves an empty space in your time, in a...

    Exhaust hanger bracket

Did you buy your exhaust yet? If you haven't you may be able to buy that when you order your exhaust. When I bought my exhaust from TTI, I ordered everything that I needed from them. My car was a single exhaust car too.
