I think you hit the nail square on the head, a 4spd, like a convertible, seems like a good idea until you actually have it. So I agree, they look great in the garage or at a car show. Everyone loves seeing that huge walking stick Hurst shifter. But to actually drive it regularly, not so great.

I agree, never understood the appeal. I had a 454 4spd Vette, it was a PIA. And they are not faster, you can't shift faster than an auto.

If you're not worried about originality, you can just use a regular body plug and punch the holes through you need.

Longitudinal, Rump is nice, but only works without the T/A spoiler, and that is mandatory. Don't bring up the pedestal spoiler, hideous!

System vacuum is provided by the engine. So yes, there should be a line through that grommet to engine.

I put in my 518 when car had a 340, drove it 5yrs, then swapped in a 5.7. Seamless swap to the Gen3 and runs great.

Just out of curiosity, can you actually hear those speakers? Seems like any kind of aftermarket exhaust will drown out anything but an amplifier driven 6x9. Not to mention they are angled up and away out the windshield.
