    My 1973 Challenger

I am very close to finishing it but have stopped at doing the vinyl top install by myself, will get over that soon. It is F8 green, all suspension, brakes, electrics have been rebuilt or replaced. The interior has new seat foam, vinyl, carpet. The engine was from a 1978 motorhome with very low...

    Challenger door window tracks

Hi, See some pics of my '74 door glass after installation plus one with the two runners on the glass before going into the door. I have a step by step list of the order to assemble this but cannot find it right now. Important points are that no bolt or screw goes into a whole unless it is...

Mounting hardware for front valance air shield

Try Tom at RT Specialities, he has had every screw, bolt and clip for my '74 so far.

FOR SALE 489 Case 4.10 gear True Trac

A Trutrac is not a locker and is still a 'limited slip'. The difference to a factory 'posi' is that the Trutrac has no clutches to wear out. It has helical side gears on ramps to equalise torque. I have one with 3.55 gears in my car.

    Leaf Spring Rebuild

I did a rebuild in my Challenger springs and Year One had everything except the centre bolt, go to RT Specialities for two of those.

I could not decide for a long time on colour, I wanted something subtle which is a laugh given the car, the sound and that you never see one in Aus.

Thankyou, the engine was built before I touched the rest of the car as it was the subject of some 'bench racing' we did over 30 years ago, ie what we would build given no rules and more money. The rest of the car just flowed from that. The colour is F8 Green and was not decided until I saw new...

I thought about adding that and it still can happen. I do like the bolt in chassis connectors from US Tool but shipping to here is pricey for that.

Hmmmm, at least I replied. Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit.

    Front Valence Plastic Insert

Hi, did you solve this? Mine has the same piece but I had to replace the front valance panel and it does not have all of the holes needed to attach this. The original panel has the holes so I cut them off and rivetted these to the new valance and used j-nuts and bolts for the 2 holes at either...

Can anyone identify these 2 parts??

Not directly as it is inside the trunk skin and captured by the phillips head screw, the plate is maybe 200-250mm long x 20-25mm wide with 3 tapped holes, 2 for the hinge bolts and 1 for the screw.

    426 Hemi Air Cleaner

We started with a single 4bbl base and modded to a 2x4 for Edelbrock carbs and kept the slope on the base the same as factory so it will be level with the hood. After you make some measurements and decide if it fits under a closed hood you can move forward. Mine obviously will not fit so I will...

Can anyone identify these 2 parts??

And that is just a look at comparing 'English' with 'American', then you get 'Australian'. I tried to remember that you call it a trunk but it was getting late. Anyway, the part could be the plate that is held inside the trunk lid with a small phillips head screw that the hinges bolt into. I had...

This is my 'other' Dodge, a 2013 SRT, 6.4 manual at the local strip. It has slowed down progress on the '74 car.

Can anyone identify these 2 parts??

Your 1st pic looks like the plate inside your bootlid that the hinge bolts screw into.

    426 Hemi Air Cleaner

Hi, for what it is worth, I had the same question with my 440 and an Indy cross ram intake. As near as we can measure, the flat hood rises about 55mm from the side to the middle, the RT hood rises about 105mm. We measured that by placing a strip of masking tape on the front guard bolt flanges...

Some more pics, a very crowded engine bay, the stripe took us 5 hours one night to mask up, I disassembled the leaf springs and cleaned/painted them before reassembly, that was a PITA and dangerous with only a bench vise and screw clamps to reassemble them.

Hi everyone, I have had several Dodges in my life, my first car was a 1966 Dodge Phoenix (a Fury in the US). Followed up that with a 1965 Plymouth Sport Fury, a 1970 Sport Fury and now I have nearly finished a restomod of a 1974 Challenger in F8 green. We replaced both rear quarters and the...
