Hilarious. My car is 180 degrees from this…

I think my car will be the red headed step child of this site. As the wives (Mopar cynics) are fond of reciting when funding our cars is mentioned, this poem seems to bubble to the top frequently. When funds are low, And debts are high, You try to laugh, But can only cry. And you really feel...

1973 Cuda rear tail panel spacer?

It’s starting to make sense. The original trunk gets rusted out and needs to be replaced. The shop/owner has a choice. Remove the back bumper, and drill out the rear cross brace, tail panel welds etc. and remove the entire trunk pan, or simply cut off the trunk from the inside and call it...

1973 Cuda rear tail panel spacer?

Thanks for posting that. I thought it might be something unforeseeable as there isn’t a part # for an extension piece to the tail panel. The car does have a new trunk floor. Since it’s not supposed to be there I guess it’s got to come out. That should make everything cleaner. I’m sure there’s...

1973 Cuda rear tail panel spacer?

Here’s a couple with the cross brace removed and a viewpoint from the rear frame rails.

1973 Cuda rear tail panel spacer?

This is my first real head scratcher on my 73 Cuda resto. I noticed some rust in the tail panel and started chasing it down. That led to Bondo which led to a mysterious “filler” piece that is between the tail panel and rear cross brace. That is usually a bad sign so I stopped and took some...

1970-74 Cuda door/window disassembly procedure needed

Since I’m going to do a color change on the car, I need to remove the glass out my 1973 Cuda doors. I’ve checked YouTube for any videos that could give me a good step by step guide to get this done. Haven’t found one yet. Not a hard job but it helps to ask questions first to sidestep any...

Welcome. Springfield Oregon here. Love that color. And getting ready to put my project on a dolly for my painter. That pic is very motivating.

    Good evening from Alaska

Welcome. This is a great site. Lots of great information. Someone here will always have an answer to your questions. I’m from Alaska also. Left in 1986 for warmer weather. One thing we are all looking forward too…will you be putting tire chains on your car in February when the snow gets...

    Cuda 340 engine issue....maybe

As a kid my prime directive was to mow the lawn in the summer. To do this meant using the Wards brand lawnmower. Since dad was always at work, and this mower was as old as he was, his advice for me when it refused to start was to always check the simple/obvious first. Does it have gas? Any...

    Need the car now

Recalling these events seems like a proof of mettle and a hard won trial by fire. But when your going through it…All I could see was dollars with wings flying out the window.

    Need the car now

Wow. What a setup. This is a great post especially for the guys who are going to be doing this job in the future. In my corner of the world there are very few remaining machine shops that rebuild motors. The ones that still do have a hard time finding qualified machinists. So the formula is...

Yup. I gotta keep her working for the duration of the project. Well, I did find a project. I ended up buying Jeff’s 1973 Cuda. Lots of bodywork had already been done and he had the majority of parts needed to put it back together. Can anyone recommend a go to service and parts manual that...

Thanks. Great to be here. I guess it depends on the car. I’m going to keep watching the big 3 which would be here, Facebook marketplace, and “Search Craigslist”. I’m retired and the long winters in Oregon are no different than my ex-wife. Cold, harsh and unforgiving.
