Every so often I think about this and I have yet to figure it out. There is a square opening in the inner cowl side hinge panel at the bottom. It gets hidden by the kick panel.

What goes in that square cutout?
What I am about to tell you all is second hand info about my car. Quick explanation is that my car live 120 miles away from me in my brothers garage. As payment he gets to drive it when ever he wants to. He sent me pictures which I will post below. The valve cover gasket was leaking so he got...
Has anyone attempted or installed any of the newer Challenger seats into their older cars? The reason I ask is I can get a set of 2010-2015 seats for $200. To rebuild the seats that I have in my 74 would cost me over 1K.
I have a set of rear bumper brackets for a 70-72 Challenger. They are ADM reproductions. Never used. Brand new. Asking $75 shipped to your address.

The week before Mopar Nationals my coil went bad. Replaced it to find out that the alternator was bad as well. Replaced them and the voltage regulator. Now it appears that the new coil has gone bad, again. Any ideas as to what may be causing this?
One of the many things that my car didn't come with, a radio. (74 challenger) No way am I spending $600 on a radio to make it look factory when nothing else about the car is original. Will a newer single disc cd player radio fit in that spot without modification? If not what has to be done to...
The engine trans combo in my 74 challenger is not original. The trans came out of a mid to late 70's truck per the numbers on the side. Brewers told me that in order to get the shift pattern correct that the 1-2? shift plate would have to be turned upside down and the linkage would have to be...
I'm not sure what the correct term is for them, but does anyone have a picture of them installed so that I can get them in the right location? Seems that I am finding all of the odds and ends that the car doesn't have anymore and trying to put them back to where they belong.
Alright, this one may be hard to follow but I will try my best to explain what is going on. My on going project 1974 Challenger, I have replaced all of the wiring harnesses except for the one that goes to the ignition switch. I still have a lot left unplugged under the dash, accessories stuff. I...
It only took me three years to get around to rebuilding the junkyard heater box assembly. During the cleaning process I noticed that two studs were broke off. These are the ones that are on a little piece of metal and then riveted to the housing and they go through the firewall to mount the...
Alright, one last question about the engine wiring harness. 1974 Challenger small block wiring harness reproduction from Year One. I got the car as a rolling shell. I get the harness and put it in. I got the wiring schematic online here. There is a black wire with a ring terminal on it at the...
In my journey to get my car together (1974 Challenger) I discovered that I am missing a wiring harness under the hood. I have my lights and the engine harness but the third connector that goes to the main harness under that dash is missing. It is the furthest one to the passenger side of the...
What a way for a new member to start off on a forum. I am originally from Southern Indiana. I noticed that there aren't that many good "junkyards" out there anymore. There is one in Southern Indiana that is known as Mopar Mountain. It was called that long before I was born. Don't know if anyone...
Hi all, been reading here a bit to find out info to help me on my way to get my car done. I bought the car 7 years ago (from a neighbor that had more projects than money) with hopes of getting it done in a year. Well that didn't happen. Every time I looked at another part I found issues so I...
