When people are listing the fender tag data for others to see, why do they leave off or covered the last few numbers?

Trying to figure out the engine in my parts car. The engine numbers off the front pad are HM340R 37300019. On the heads I found casting numbers under the vc 4027569 and down between #5 and 7 there is a 360 (I dont know if there is more) cant see?

Has anyone ever tried to resilver one of these mirrors. I have it disassembled and can scrape the silver off but there are vertical lines that I have not been able to affect with a razor blade.
