Maybe he didn't, he removed the post after a couple of hours. It's possible the police contacted him. Or maybe it sold. It was interesting to see how polarizing the comments were- some people think it's fine and some people hate it. I personally think it's pretty greasy.

I used wire and a pry tool. Broke my front window, back window came out fine. I think I pried a little too hard, and didn't make sure the wire had cut through properly on the front. I would do it on a warmish day so the butyl is easier to go through, but not so hot that it remelts together.

I've only ever heard of and seen them on Big 1.5 ton+ trucks. It does sound like an overdrive unit behind the transmission to me.
