    Hello from WI

I considered doing my own from scratch. It's not rocket science. Mark the placement path on the floorpan. Establish a start and stop point for each side so the two profiled panels stay in sync to each other. Then use a couple of plastic profile gauges off amazon to map the floor onto a...

    Hello from WI

Have you contacted USCT? I just looked at the pics on their website and while small, they looked like the features were the same orientation as in your pics. I've got a set of these connectors for my 73 Cuda not installed yet and besides the length, they should have similar floorpan features...

73 Cuda rust bucket, too far gone, but why not.

You are a lot further along than I am. Mine still looks pretty much like the pic in post #5. BUT, I am hoping that I'll be able to focus on it pretty much full time in a couple weeks and get all the major body work done before the snow flies. I did manage to get the 340 rebuilt. I was going...

    Value cover studs

Rule of thumb is that the length of a threaded fastener going into the hole should be at least the diameter or the thread. Going longer isn't bad and adds strength but in many cases isn't required. So a 5/16-18 bolt should go into a hole that has at least 5/16" of thread depth, to achieve full...

    Experience with Be Cool radiators?

I need a new radiator for my Cuda. It originally had a 26" radiator and now has a 20 or 22 that is going to be inadequate. Engine is a 340 that dyno'd at a conservative 460hp, so I'm going to need an efficient cooling system. I am switching to a manual trans so don't need the built in...

    Got LCA’s back from welding.

White vinegar works good for rust removal and is cheap. Evaporust works well and isn't as cheap.

WTB Small Block Road Race style oil Pan

Matt, Thanks for the pics. I don't think that pan is what I'm looking for. It's definitely a race pan. Has an increased capacity and has some baffling, but it's all for straight line work, like drag racing.

WTB Small Block Road Race style oil Pan

Thanks, I'm interested in seeing it. I know I can add baffling and doors if I have to. I'd just prefer to get one that's done if I can find something used. $700 from Milodon for something that has a reputation for bad weld quality is hard to swallow. But it is something of a known quantity.

WTB Small Block Road Race style oil Pan

Long shot but you never know.... I am looking for a new or used road race or pro-touring style oil pan for a small block Mopar 318/340 application. These will have baffles and internal doors to keep the oil from moving away from the pickup while cornering. There aren't many options that I'm...

QA1 subframe and control arms worth the effort?

Believe me, I am well aware of that. Doesn't stop me though!

Hi everyone. New member living in Mishicot WI.

Welcome. A big group of us have a two day golf outing up there every July. Nice area. Happy to help if I can. If you need some trim or other small parts, let me know. I have acquired a varied collection of stuff over the years as I looked for parts for my Cuda.

QA1 subframe and control arms worth the effort?

Thanks for the reply. Your setup is pretty much where I was headed until I ran across this deal. Got the Moog bits, have done the lower arms, car came with sway bars, and recently snagged a set of QA1 thrust arms. Really just need the upper control arms, good shocks $$, and torsion bars. The...

QA1 subframe and control arms worth the effort?

Yes, I was aware of both of these cars and hope to approach their level of success. For this deal, it was less about the tubular K-frame and more the included QA1 upper and lower arms, double adjustable shock, bigger torsion bars, etc, and the R&P steering kit that are included. I've got a set...

4spd and Automatic Driveshaft the same?

    That simplifies it. Makes sense.

QA1 subframe and control arms worth the effort?

Looking for feedback from those that have the QA1 stuff on their car and used it in anger at the track. I've had every intention of running the stock K-frame torsion bars, but with heavier duty aftermarket versions. I'm going to be doing auto-x, road courses, etc and want to optimize the...

4spd and Automatic Driveshaft the same?

Thank you. That chart didn't specifically cover my year/model (73 Cuda 340/727), unless I missed it, but it told me what I needed to know. If staying with the same engine, it is most likely that the original driveshaft should work with either transmission. I can compare the two when I get...

4spd and Automatic Driveshaft the same?

I’m converting my 73 Cuda from an automatic to manual transmission. Going from a 727 to an A833. Will I have to do anything with the driveshaft to accommodate the four speed or is the same length used in both applications?

    Minimum Vacuum for Power Brakes

Yeah, I think the ultimate goal is hydro boost with a new Borgeson box. Also going to be upping the braking potential with at least 13" rotors and calipers. The budget won't allow that right away and I want to drive the car as soon as I can get it safely running. So I'm just trying to get all...

    Minimum Vacuum for Power Brakes

What have you guys found to be the minimum vacuum level at idle to make the E-body OEM power brakes function correctly? In this case it is a 73 Cuda. I think there have been different boosters over the years and the one in mine is pretty large diameter. I just finished the build on the engine...
