It is a 1971 only radio, because of the pigtail. You should change your description.

I wont as its not 71 only.works fine in 70 and is identical

Not nitpicking… while the appearance up front is the same, the 70 thumb wheel was a Phillips and 71 thumb wheel was a Motorola so the internals are different. The one you have is more desirable IMO.

Also, it’s pretty simple to test these. Proving it works would be a big selling point. Check out this link:
