What is a transport mount and where do they mount?

What is a transport mount and where do they mount?

They were used to tie down the rear of the car when being transported by the car haulers. They are bolted to the rear frame rails near the mufflers. Some dealers removed them and some did not. I have a picture somewhere if I can find it.

Were they all painted orange or body color or something different??

Agree 100%, and I have never seen them on anything but E bodies.

Thanks for this post. My 70 Cuda is my first E-body. When I disassembled it they were there and I was wondering what they were for. Now I know, Although I did have a hunch..

Are these like... valuable or something? Didn't most of the e-body cars come with these useless brackets?

There was different brackets on many mopars even pickups and we would use them for other things or fabrication
