Hello all, I bought this Challenger back in 2001. It was on consignment from bank do to a divorce.

This is my dream car a Sublime 70 Challenger 440 4-speed. Yes a real numbers matching track pack car. It has been a long restoration with many twists and turns.

My first mistake was buying Goodmark full quarter panels. They did not fit worth a crap. I dumped them on Craigslist and bought AMD full quarters. What a difference how they fit.

I had a major issue with the lower body line. It was 2" off from the door to the fender. The lower body line of the door was 2" higher than the fender. Yes all factory steel. It took a couple years to find the problem. It was a bad door stamping. I located some rust free doors and was back in business. I will bring you up to speed with a few pics.

I had a problem with my paint guy. He tried to steel my car. It was a tense 6 months not knowing where my car was. I played the political game and was able to get her back home. Here are a few pics of the doors and quarter panel work.

I bought Caswells copy cad plating system and replated various parts.

Below is my engine and K-member. I upgraded the upper and lower arms to to QA1. This will allow more caster than factory specs

Thanx guys..

No, the first pic is the car before I took it apart. It was painted in the 80's with dark blue metallic. It's a factory FJ5 Sublime car.

Looks nice, keep up the good work! I'll be watching

Hello all, it has been a long time since I have posted on here. A lot has happened that derailed my Challenger restoration but I am getting back on track. I got divorced, moved to the country in Wisconsin and building a small shop. Here are a few pics of the current status of my Challenger.

Nice progress! Great to see you are staying with it. Sometimes life sidetracks you but endeavor to persevere! Keep up the good work you will get there! 😀

AT least you were able to keep the car through the divorce unlike the previous owner , congrats !

Nice car or will be a very nice car. I have a 70 Challenger RT 440 AT AC PS PB that was EK2 with a black vinyl top, black interior, 3 speaker dash, etc. Just something about a BB Challenger...
