i have a 70 challenger with 71 or newer doors. The regulator is a 70. The door binds going up or down. Everything is clean and rebuilt but still the same problem. I adjusted it every way possible. Do they have different guides for different years? Or do I have to use the 71 regulator?

Auto Metal Direct does list different regulators for 70/71.. but if the door and regulator are the same year I would expect it to work.

70 regulators are different from 71.
Although I would think it still should work.
I thought that the only difference in doors was the openings in the inner panel, so as long as you can get to the bolts and glass it should work.
Do a Google search on 70 challenger regulator and a lot pops up.

Post some pics if you can so we can see exactly what tracks and guides you have. The 70 regulator uses clips on the roller/slides and also has a different long horizontal regulator roller track and that track has to match the regulator you are using
