1971 cuda bumper gap

Hi guys so i test fitted my rear bumper to make sure everything lines up before I start welding the rear end in and the bumper does sit nice only thing is i find the gaps in the corners are alittle big? I've looked at some pictures and the gaps seem to be the same and other pictures the gaps are closer. I also read that the part number on my brackets are for a 70-72 challenger which makes them stick out more than the cuda. Amd classic industries and year one all sell the brackets for a 70-72 challenger but mark it as 70-72 ebody. Can someone tell me if the gaps are normal or if i need to buy new or modify the brackets

Gap seems a little big, no idea on how to fix that.

I would say the gap on this factory paint 1970 barracuda is 5/8-inch. Judging it looks larger than 1/2-inch but less than 3/4-inch. I cannot fit my finger in there, just a little too small for that.

Are those the original brackets on the car? And would you happen to know the part number on them?

Challenger and barracuda have different brackets. I don't think you could even mount a barra with a challenger bracket.
Challenger are strap steel, different bolt spacing and barra are stamped steel.

Left/driver
2962307-L

And when I look up these numbers every where I look it all says challenger

So I dont even have the part number 305
