I should’ve known better That Chrysler wouldn’t use the same switch two years in a row

It's not just beacuse they were on a track to bankruptcy, there was a big reason the 71 switch is different. 70s only have two headlights and 71s have four. BY law in a lot of states, only 4 can be lit at one time, so the 71's have a relay that turns off the inner high beams when the fogs go on. More electronics, more wires, etc.
