1972 Bucket Seat Modification.

Has anyone ever somehow attached the 1970-1971 upper spring basket to a 1972-1974 seat back? I have 1972 seats that came with my 1970 Barracuda and I'd like to use the correct seat covers and foam. If I bought springs, the thought crossed my mind to tack weld them on. Worse case would be just to locate used seats or even buying the Dynacorn frames. Figured I'd check to see if anyone pulled it off first.

If you were to do that, I don't know if you would be able mount the hard shell back. You would have to calculate that out.

If you want the correct covers, sell the seats and get the correct ones. Or try it and then you can get the right ones.

Thanks for the input. It would probably be too much of a hassle to fit those springs onto the seatback compared to just finding the correct seat in the first place. Just thought I'd ask first.
