I recently purchased this 1972 Dodge Challenger as a project, but sadly unforeseen family circumstances require me to cut it loose before I really get started. The car is in pretty solid shape. However, the taillight panel needs to be replaced as does the passenger side quarter panel, trunk extension, and outer fender. The rest of the metal on the car is solid, though it will need some work. The front fender has some minor damage that can be repaired and the fiberglass headlight surround needs to be repaired or replaced. Car includes two complete doors with all window hardware already installed and fresh paint. The trunk lid has also been recently painted. I will throw in the standard flat hood as well if they buyer wants it. Also includes K-member with power steering box still bolted on, 8 3/4" rear end housing (needs center section), both front bucket seats and the rear bench seat, dash frame and heater box, steering column, front and rear door panels, front and rear valances, and boxes of parts off of the car (assorted trim, gauge housing, etc.). Has a console, but it probably needs to be replaced. Has no motor or drivetrain. Car is local pick up only. Asking $3000, but will consider all offers. Need to move this relatively quickly.

Yeah, me too. But family priorities come first. Haven't had many bites as of yet. Don't really want to part it out since so much of the car is there.

Car will remain available to interested parties. But fortunately I didn't have to cut it loose for now. So I am going to slowly plod away at working on this but will consider any offers that come my way. Thanks.

Car is off the market for now. Things have changed. Now I can begin this project in earnest. Starting to put the body panels together that I need to do some body work first.

I'm excited that I can now start to get some work done on it. Spent this weekend stripping stuff off the car.

Resurrecting this sale thread. I have the opportunity to buy a car that I have been after for awhile, but I don't have a place to put it with this project in my garage. So I am selling this 1972 Dodge Challenger project. I am asking $3500 or best offer. I have acquired a number of additional parts since I posted this a year ago. As I said previously, the car is in pretty solid shape, but admittedly needs a good deal of work. The most extensive repair is the taillight panel along with the the passenger side quarter panel, trunk extension, and outer fender. However, I have already acquired a clean, straight used tail panel as well as new quarter panel, trunk extension, outer wheelhouse, tail lamp panel support bracket, and new door hinges, plus a new passenger door jamb. I also have a complete Stage 2 chassis stiffening kit from US Car Tool. The rest of the metal on the car is solid, though it will need some work. The front drivers side fender has some minor damage that can be repaired, but I have a brand new fender for the car. Also, recently purchased a nearly perfect fiberglass headlight header panel to replace the original that was damaged. New and replacement parts alone total nearly $2000. Car includes two complete doors with all window hardware already installed and previously painted. The trunk lid has also been painted, but all parts should probably be repainted with the project. Also includes K-member with power steering box still bolted on, 8 3/4" rear end housing (needs center section), both front bucket seats and the rear bench seat, dash frame and heater box, steering column, front and rear door panels, and boxes of parts off of the car (assorted trim, gauge face, etc.). The car has no motor or drivetrain and is local pick up only. Will consider all offers but price is pretty firm due to the amount of new and replacement parts available.
