The lid may be for a '72-73 340 but I'm pretty sure the base isn't. There should be a vacuum operated trap door (some call it a flapper) in the bottom base that opens when under heavy throttle. Do an internet search if you want to search the subject or please educate me if I'm wrong. Thanks.

That's a 73 340 air cleaner. The 340 air cleaners with the flapper door on the bottom were 72 year model only. 73 model 340's had the ones like above. In 74, the 360 cars had one similar. The base and lid were the same as above, but 360 four barrel cars had oval snorkels on them. A body cars had a short snorkel, and B&E body cars had a longer snorkel on the same base.
