I have been searching but I cannot find any info on production start and end dates for the Dodge Challenger 1973 model year. Can someone point me to this info as I'm restoring my car with what appears to be a late build date. Any help appreciated! This info for any year Challenger would be great but I'm really interested in the 1973 model year.

Production began in August of the previous year and ended in July.
Thanks for the info. Any idea on the specific dates for start and end date of production? My car was built 7/19/73 so I'm trying to find out how close to the end it was.

I don’t personally know the exact date but they don’t get too much later I’m sure!

The last day of production is likely July 31, 1973.
Here is a 1973 Challenger fender tag with a Scheduled Production Date (SPD) of 731. Picture was from the Internet and ended up in my collection of fender tag pictures.
VIN is JH23H3B598199.
Anyone else have a fender tag from a later VIN scheduled for a 7/31/1973 build date?

Thanks! I saved the fender tag.
I owned JH23H3B519345. Based on VIN, it was likely scheduled to be built in May 1973. I bought it in the Atlanta area back in July of 1982 for $600. Triple black automatic with console. It had been hit in the right rear corner and was not worth repairing. I drove it to college and sold the entire front sheetmetal to a buddy's brother while parting it out in 1985.

And...
here is a fender tag for JH23H3B557342 with an SPD of 629 (June 29, 1973).

And the 1973 Challenger brochure pages worth downloading.

Cool. I have that brochure. Not only that, the brochure for my car that I got in a package deal from a guy in El Dorado Hills, CA (it is a California car) is stamped from a dealership from Schnecksvillle, PA, where my Dad bought a car in the 80's. Freaky! You can't make that $hit up.
