70 Barracuda body question

We are redoing a badly rusted convertible. Trying to identify this piece it looks like it spot welds to the rear frame rail and it extends over to the back of the driver side rocker. Do you know what piece this is? As you can see the leafspring passes by it so it's not anything to do with the mount for the leafspring or the torque box. Yes that is my leaf spring that has been deteriorated severely. The second photo is from the passenger side of the car. That one is in better shape.

Here are some pics of my 71 Barracuda Coupe, not sure what is going with yours as it is super rust. Maybe this will help. I welded in torque boxes in front of my leaf springs.

That's the part. What is it?

It is a brace that goes between the frame rail and the rocker. The ends of the wheel housing are attached to it as well. Also spot welded to floor.
