My T/A doesn't have a rallye gauge package and has no clock in the far right position. Someone shoe horned a pitiful oil temperature gage into it, which does not work and is recessed too far to the rear to read anyhow. My question.........I can order a clock delete from YearOne.....has anyone attached a 2.5 inch gage to a delete plate to mount a gage in that position? It seems like a no brainer, but I haven't heard of anyone doing it. I also have a radio delete plate and have considered adding a mini 3 gage package (1.5 inch gages) in that position....cut out a plate to match the original, of course....not cutting up original.

Year One used to sell a little RPM meter that fitted there. The gauge needle will not match your 70 ones.

Talk to Shannon at Redline Gauges, they do great work.

There are companies that make custom gauges for these standard dashes. Here’s a couple referenc pics. Some swap the Ammeter for a volt gauge which I like. The tach is nice too when installed by the Speedo and pushing the others over. And of course an oil pressure gauge would be nice.

I like the custom dash format, Beekeeper, but not at the prices. I think I'll proceed to add an oil pressure gage to the delete plate and see how it works. Will maintain the oem look anyhow if I can come close to matching the factory gages.

I don’t have any reference pics but it can’t be that bad. I’ve seen people do what you’re talking about and create an oem looking oil pressure gauge.

I’ve done the Sun 2 5/16 oil pressure gauge in the clock delete panel with satisfactory results. I’d recommend using the backlight in the gauge also.

Great to hear that the 2 5/16 fits.....do you need to shim it forward or does it mount in a readable position as is??
