70 cuda rear bumper

Trying put rear bumper on my 70 cuda using brackets that were on it when I bought it 2962306-307. New original rechromed bumper. But driver side curled up tried another bumper it did the same thing. Looked up original part numbers it calls for 2768604-605 but everybody selling them for 70 cuda sells 306-307. Can’t even find anyone that sells 604-605. Anyone else run across this.

I took it back apart and ordered new braces. I will try that and let you know thanks
