My 72 cuda has factory painted sport mirrors and one of the local restoration experts told me that it should have painted fender turn indicators and not Chrome ones. Does anybody know whether these indicators are Chrome or the painted. I know there were some changes and that I believe 1971 they were all painted. Thanks in advance

The ones I have on the car are currently Chrome. They are held in with a nut from the underside of the fender. This is unlike my 73 cuda which has the correct Chrome indicators which have a Phillips head screw from the top

'70 & '71 painted. '72+ chrome. As always with Ma Mopar, you never know what got carried over from one year to the next, especially for early production. I'd like to see a picture, '70, '71, 72 & '73+ have different housings too.

I'll try to get a couple of pictures but mine are Chrome and are secured from the bottom side. They appear to be original

72 Cuda uses the small chrome ones shown.
71 Cuda uses the blue painted ones shown.
70 Cuda used the green painted ones shown.
The big ugly ones with the screw through the top are 73-up all models.

. The fenders appear to be original and these probably are original as well. Interestingly this was a special order car according to code and I mentioned a few months ago it's one of the few that actually has a TA 340 motor. I know it's original since the car is a matching number vehicle.

I thought I had posted this earlier today but forgot to. I just ordered the correct ones as noted above. Thank you very much

Copied from moparmarks:
"72 Cuda uses the small chrome ones shown.
71 Cuda uses the blue painted ones shown.
70 Cuda used the green painted ones shown.
The big ugly ones with the screw through the top are 73-up all models."

Thanks for clearing that up, I edited my post. Great picture too.
