St. Louis built car and those are the last 6 digits of the vin that that engine belongs to. Do they match the last 6 digits of your vin?

How can I access this visually? Does anything. Need to be removed or can I just put up on a lift?

Might be hard to see with headers but it's on the passenger side below the engine mount just above the pan rail.

I have exhaust manifolds and 2.25 exhaust. I will try to locate next time it's up in the air.

Look on the block, behind the power steering pump, just below the head gasket surface. There may be more numbers there.

I can not make out any numbers on the pan rail of my 73 340, there is a very faint number or two but i cant make it out, however, the engine identification number behind the PS pump tells me my motor was assembled on the 12th December 72 (block was cast 27th Sept 72)and my fender tag date tells me my car was made on the 18th Dec 72, so there is a fair bet the VIN number will match,,,,,, I hope.
