Crash Bars? Do you mean push bar or roll bar? CHP uses push bars.

Is crash bars an Australian term? Maybe he meant something like this.

I believe @1974 Challenger is looking for these. The 2 closest in the 2nd picture I think are a set for '73/4 Challenger while I can't find any info on the top one when I search the part # which is in the bottom picture. All 3 are available and located in the Detroit area.

Well since all 3 pictured share the same first 4 digits of the part number I'm assuming they're for the same year.

The top two bars in the pix appear to be what Dodge calls reinforcement bars that go behind the bumper and mount to supports off the rear cross member.

That much I know. The 2 on top are front and the other is rear. A part number search brings up comps on eBay for all but the one ending in 055.

After 1969, there is no rhyme or reason to part #s. Many were assigned for 1970-74s at the same time, since all the changes to each model year were known in advance.

I know I have a set of 74's. It will be until next week when I can look due to the storm. @DetMatt1 I believe the inner is different on 74. Maybe you can find the difference with a Google search.

I'm certain I have at least one of each, since the original bumpers came with my '74 along with a face cord of others. I won't be using them. They're nice, rust-free southern parts--the car they're from has literally all its original sheetmetal except the roof. If you're interested in mine, PM me. I'll dig 'em out and get some pictures.

DetMatt, 3686555 is a '73 Barracuda rear. The 3686079 is in fact a '74 Challenger front. The '74 Challenger rear part number is 3754205.

I also have a 3686079; it was hiding in plain sight rather than stacked with the rest. Like I said, it's in excellent shape. PM me if interested.
