Need to replace front suspension on my AAR. I saw a rebuild kit on Classic Industries from OER #MD 7793. Don’t know if anyone has any input on this one.

Front End Kit

Classic Industries has pretty decent stuff. Front-end rebuilt kits are common, and some of the cheaper ones contain significant amounts of China steel (lower quality iron ore, compared to legacy US) or china-made parts with inconsistent process control.

Moog brand has historically been considered among the better parts to use in a front-end rebuild. Some say they're even better than OEM. I actually enjoy rebuilding the front-end among the various tasks I've been involved with over the years on Mopars.

I think I've even seen counterfeit Moog suspension parts, so pay close attention to packaging, if you go Moog.

If I were starting out fresh on my first Mopar, I would make Moog parts a priority, and a few tools, such as the Upper Ball Joint socket. It is common to also replace the pitman and/or idler arms during a rebuild. Some even use polyurethane bushings.

Thanks for the input. There’s a lot of stuff out there some of it is junk. Nice knowing someone who can help lead me in right direction.

I bought my kit from PST and I've been happy with it. I bought new upper control arms and they put the new ball joints in. I also bought b the tie rod billet peices and the car tracks very well. They have a 10% off for gorum members here.
