Are these '71 Challenger seats?

Traded for these today. Guy said they came out of a '71 Challenger parts car.

that stich pattern was used in 71 Cuda , they are missing the hinge cover trim

Thanks for the reply. I knew they didn't look right for a Challenger but I couldn't remember what car used that cover pattern.
Did these originally have a locking mechanism to keep the seat from folding forward in sudden stops?

yes they did have a latching mechanism , there should be a C shaped loop bolted to the base & a hook in the seat back

in your 3rd pic I can see the two holes where the latch loop should be bolted on the far side of the base , the side release for the latch was different year to year as well , the 70 had a spring loaded push button but it was rivited to the inside of the trim & the rivits always fail , later years used an uglier but more reliable release

Believe it not some Challenger came with that same pattern but was mostly used in Barracuda. I have a 71 Deputy Challenger and it had the same seat cover design, if you check Legendary they list the same design for Challenger.
