Looking at Rock Auto, seems ACC has 4 options,

1. Loop - 80% Rayon / 20% Nylon Carpet
2. Loop with Mass Backing
3. Essex
4. Essex with Mass Backing

Thoughts on what is what?

I agree with ACC Carpet. I got new carpet from them last year and it was a great fit. I got the 80/20 loop because that is what was original in these cars. The Essex is basically cut pile type carpet, what is used in the late model cars.

I got the mass backing option and feel it was worth every penny spent! The carpet laid much better than the ACC carpet I put in years ago with just the jute backing. The mass backing does add a little thickness to the carpet so if you're going to be fitting the carpet over a modified transmission tunnel you may not want to go that route.

I agree with ACC also. Got the 80/20 pile.
You may already know this but any holes you need to make are best done with a soldier iron. I didn't have one when I did mine so I just put a flame to a small screwdriver and made the holes that way.
Works great, fuses the holes and doesn't pull any pile.
