Center console removal on 73 challenger with slap stick auto

How do you remove the remove the wood grained center console,auto slap stick, on a 1973 dodge challenger? Unscrewed it the back to screws,removed screws in wood grain panel hopeing to access to remove plastic console,don't want to break anything. Are the screws or bolts under this wood grain panel for removal? thanks

yes there under the wood grain plate as well as two in the compartment. four in all, the two foreword fasteners are side by side.

The t handle will need to come off also. The console needs tilted (rolled to a side) as you lift up on it. This way it clears the chrome shift indicator.
