Convertible Boot Clip Question

Progress.

I’ve not seen white seats with black door panels before.

My ‘71 Barracuda vert came white on white. Panels badly chalked.

I bought a black set years ago with plan to change to black interior.

Yes, I took some liberties on my Fish. I like the contrast personally. It gets smoking Hot here in the summer and White is much cooler to the touch. However, I do have the the seats in black as well. Both front buckets and rear back & bottom for winter.🌴

I'd love to see someone from Legendary chime in on this. I wonder where they got the measurements to make the boot covers from and if they considered the hot vs cold install when they did it. They could have made the boots bigger but maybe they would be too loose when they heat up?

I too replaced the white door panels with black ones. For whatever reason, the factory plastic just starts flaking off in the blazing sun. A convertible would be worse I think with the white panels deteriorating.

Maybe if Legendary made the boot cover an inch wider would work! I do know every convertible boot cover I have put on (A, B, C and E-Body) have been snug even in the hot weather.

I called Legendary and explained the issue. They said to send photos and explain the issue. Having done that all I hear are crickets. Ah, I’m sure they are busy and will get back to me later. However, I agree with you about questioning where they got their measurements. Stretching the boot a little over 2 inches is quite the “Stretch” to get it to fit. Not to mention it being a PIA to attach. 🌴
