Does anybody know what these three holes are for on the cowl, under lower part of the windshield on a 70 Cuda? They are on both sides
No, its not from damage, both sides have the identical holes drilledmy guess it was dented down . who know what landed on it and someone drilled the holes to pull it up
I will weld themAs far as I know noting. Someone's plan? Weld them shut.
I can see them in your pic. Im going to weld mine shutI had those same holes on my car, not the best photo. Wonder if they were used during the stamping process?

Thank you , I have also been told they act as drainage holes, draining into the crowd. And your right they were sharper, stripping the paint has dulled them. Now im second guessing about welding them overThe picture shows that area has been ground or smoothed.
The factory had sharp protusions that bit into a rubber wedge in that spot. The wedge held the windsheild at the correct height.
I could find some and show you.
I should add, only early 70, my 2/70 has no holes
Thank you this is a really solid car. I should start a restoration thread here. I did one on forbodies when I did my 69 roadrunnerSeam sealer, window urethane, or weld them. The only reason to cover them is, they are closer to being above your vent hole.
They are not a leak potential, as the cowl screens go to the same place.
Seam sealer.
Nice cowl. I dont see any rust.
