Post some pics of the trunk, and underneath. If they cut the upper rear shock mount to put wider tubs in then I would think most of it would need to be replaced. If everything is in good shape I would just leave it because it would generally not be worth it on a 72.

Mini-tub you might be able to use the narrower B or A body 8 3/4 housings and attach XHD (426/440) leaf springs and still run some 305 or 315 wide tires! Pictures will help give us a better idea/understanding!

I went and looked at the cuda today nice car but more race ready than stock... Which is what I was told how it was... It has an 8.50 cage, stock interior, and a 4 link with leaf springs

A few pics...

Definitely a different setup than what I'm used to seeing. Usually four links use coil springs but not this setup. I don't think it would be to difficult to change back to just leaf springs. Does the roll cage go through the dash and firewall requiring a lot of work to remove and replace?

Agreed regarding moving the leaf springs. And since they didn't chop up the dash and firewall, it would be possible to put it back to s more stock configuration. Especially if you have fabrication skills. If the price is good, I vote for going for it!
