Hi folks,
I'm planning to fabricate and install front and rear torque boxes to my 1970 Challenger 440+727.

Has anybody fabricated them? All hints and tips are much appreciated!

I haven't done it, but wouldn't have any issues doing it. If you aren't going to a stock look, easy peasy. I'd go with 16g sheet and just make tabs and folds to finish the "boxes". Leave small openings at the trailing or lowest point to drain water and go to town. I look forward to seeing what you do.

I have made and welded in all of my own torque boxes before. Unfortunately, no photos currently on this newer phone.

Thanks Guys! Good info. I'm not an engineer to plan the folds and turns for maximal strength, but looking the examples and originals I should have a pretty good idea. Thanks again.
